Worthing Sailing Club, 1 Sea Place, Worthing, West Sussex, BN12 4DG.
In 1978 Worthing Sailing Clubs first Dart 18 arrived and by the end of that season we had a fleet of 7!. We still have one of the largest Dart fleets in the country with a regular turn out of between 10 and 20 Dart 18s on a summer weekend., and with great sailing, social and hospitality, a great venue to practice ready for the Nationals later in the month
The club will be open from Friday lunch for early arrivals and the regular impromptu Friday night early arrivals party will set the scene for a fun weekend. The first race on Saturday will not be before 1200hrs
The Clubhouse balcony probably has one of the best views in Worthing and is the perfect place for those not out enjoying the racing to watch the 6 scheduled races from.
Camping will; be free and in the small compound at the end of the boat park with toilets available, and motorhomes can be parked in a beach side car park 100m from the club, although numbers are limited to 10 on a first come first serve basis.
The town centre is about a 15 minute walk away, with cycle paths if local hotels are needed.
Of course, the bar and galley will be open all weekend, and we are also close to local beach cafes and coffee for the support teams.
Initially we have limited entries to 45 boats, as our clubhouse and facilities can easily cope with this number. If more boats enter, we will investigate increasing the entry limit. To help us manage this your early booking would be appreciated, so for entries by the 1st of April our entry fee will be £50.00, after this time £60.00. Single handers, £40 and £50, and helm and crew under 25 will be £25.00.
Entry to include, sailing and free Saturday evening meal. More details to follow on the social programme.
